my favourite places is avebury, i visit the site often
in march 2003 i saw several smiling stone faces i had never noticed before

the same day i visited stonehenge and noticed the heel stone looking rather grumpy

a few days later,
back tao centre colwyn i took a good hard look at the cliff behind the house
i started seeing faces

a few weeks later i was in eire, in county mayo i took a photo of a round tower
hey what's that
on the grave stone? beautiful lichen,
yes but can you see the eyebrow, the eyes. the mouth, the crown of thorns?

stranger and stranger faces everywhere
a couple of days later i'm in dublin, making soup,
thinking about all these faces i am seeing
i halve an onion
a smiley funion
