Chi
Nei Tsang is a holistic approach to massage therapy of Taoist origin:
it
integrates the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of oneself.
CNT goes to the very origin of health problems, including psychosomatic
responses.
Chi Nei Tsang literally means, "Working the energy of the internal
organs" or "Internal organs chi transformation".
CNT is
a form of "Applied Chi-Kung".
CNT practitioners work mainly on the abdomen with a deep, soft and gentle
touch,
to train internal organs to work more efficiently and release unprocessed
emotional charges.
All of the body systems are addressed: digestion, respiration,
lymph, nervous, endocrine, urinary, reproductive,
skeleton-muscular and
the acupuncture energy system
A
treatment consists of Chi Nei Tsang abdominal massage combined with Medical
Chi Kung
and costs £40 for an hour and a half
Detoxification: CNT manipulations help clients release their body of excess stagnation;
improving elimination and stimulating the lymphatic and the circulatory
system.
It also strengthens their immune system increasing resistance
to diseases. It helps other health care modalities
to achieve optimal results (students
using it before and after surgery recover better and faster).
Restructuring and strengthening the body: By working on the visceral structures
and positioning of internal organs
CNT stimulates them into working better,
helping to correct the postural problems resulting from visceral imbalances.
It releases deep-seated tensions and restores vitality.
CNT has been helpful against chronic pains such as back, neck and shoulder
pains
and problems related to misalignment of the feet, legs and pelvis.
Improving emotional life: Most of our unprocessed emotional life is stored
in our digestive system waiting to be addressed.
Poor emotional digestion
is one of the main reasons for ill health.
CNT allows the process of emotional
life to unfold and clarify, making it possible for individuals to evolve
and grow.
CNT teaches clients to know themselves better: we believe that everyone
is responsible for ones own health
and that it starts from within.
Students are taught techniques to improve their breathing, fundamental
self-help massage techniques
and receive guidance in personalising their
diet and other health related life style matters.
Specific and relevant
visualisation and meditation practices are also used to further enhance
the effect of manual treatments.
Chi
Nei Tsang is an integral part of the Universal Tao system created by Mantak
Chia.
It uses all the wisdom and skills cultivated in ancient Chinese
disciplines
such as Tai-Chi-Chuan, Chi-Kung and Taoist esoteric meditations
of "Awakening" and "Enlightenment".
As such it is
a complete system of physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual development
that emphasizes teaching students to work on themselves to raise their
spirit, recycle negative energies from treatments
and increase the capacity
to carry healing power.
Barry Spendlove is a certified practitioner of
Chi Nei Tsang and is Senior Instructor of the Universal Tao system.
